A 2-part workshop to be held in association with Clever Collections: a national showcase of technical innovations for digital collections

The Integrated Content Environment (ICE) is a word processor based system that allows authors to work individually or collaboratively on material for the Web, CD and print. Developed at the University of Southern Queensland as an open source project it is builds on using standards and more sustainable methods of authoring using different word processors across multiple platforms. The current ICE for Research and Scholarship project (ICE-RS) is extending features in ICE to improve the process of conducting and reporting on research, with benefits in improved efficiency, greater usability of research outputs, and publication to research repositories for sustainability.

Those attending will need provide their own notebook with sufficient access to install software. The following operating systems will be supported in the workshop:
It would be preferable if those attending were able to install all the required software and libraries before arriving. Details on what is required is to be provided closer to the start date as they will vary from the time that this document has been written.
There will be no charge for the ICE Workshop.
